January 10, 2006 - He's In Charge
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! - Revelation 19:6
Our God reigns! Take the phrase "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!" and look at the words that are used to describe God. They were rejoicing in heaven because, I believe, because what they hoped for on earth was finally understood as a reality. In all of our earthly journeys we sometimes feel as though God is not in charge or is not concerned. We wonder (maybe) if God has lost control. But He has not lost one battle and has not lost one Christian who trusted Him for their salvation. They praised the "Lord God Omnipotent." Jesus is the Lord God Omnipotent! He is Master (Lord) and God (Supreme and only Living Deity) who is completely powerful with no equal (Omnipotent). Can you trust the Creator and Sustainer of the universe with your life and problems? Can you trust Him with your finances? Can you trust Him in the little things and the big things? You can and you will. Start today to bask in the security and peace of knowing that He "reigns" in all the universe! Praise Him today for His power.
