?O God, you are my God; Early will I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; My flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.? Psalm 63:1.
I wanted to use this time to reach out to those who are hurting, those who are in need of comfort, and those who maybe are in fear because of the hurricanes that are upon us. I have to say that the Lord Jesus Christ is in total control and knows what He allows for His purpose. We may not see as unbelievers or believers His purpose but we can line them up with scripture and pray that in the hard times to come we will unite and stand strong as a nation.
For a long time believers and others have been reaching out to the world to help in their times of need and serious struggle and now we are faced once again with our own. My heart is heavy and sad because I know the truth spoken of in the bible and what is to come. I do not know what exactly is too come but I do know that the world will experience troubles and they will come in increments according to God?s speed and will take us into what He calls the end times. The bible gives the example to us, as a woman in her pregnancy and for me it is very clear there is nothing we can do to stop God?s plan. Can you stop a women who is about to have birth? No way, it comes and there is pain in her labor but when it ends, it is a joyful bundle of beauty.
?Lord, in trouble they have visited You, They poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them. As a woman with child is in pain and cries out in her pangs, When she draws near the time of her delivery, So have we been in Your sight, O Lord. We have been with child, we have been in pain; We have, as it were, brought forth wind; We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, Nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen? Isaiah 26:16-18. have these times changed much and I am not talking about technology. We are in pain and our pangs (of the world/self) will come as a childbearing woman until she finally gives birth, this will be the day the Lord comes for His bride, for His believers, for His children who believe in the name of Jesus Christ.
As a believer, I am overjoyed that I have nothing to fear because I know this place called earth is only temporal for me and that I will be going to my real home in heaven when my life here ceases to exist. ?So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me" Heb. 13:6? God knows my beginning and He knows my end, as He also knows the end times. He says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty? Rev. 1:8. I know by reading the truth in the bible that the earth and everything in it will pass away but His word will not.
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away? Matt. 24:35. I know by this that everything was created by God and that He holds everything in His hand, if He did not we would have been done in three years at the most seven. How do I know this? Well, the tribulation days will only be seven years; this is how long it will take for the enemy and the evil hearts to destroy itself.
The bible says, ??and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified? Dan. 5:23.
I know there are many ?why?s? and many ?where is God? in these times and these disasters. I can agree from what a pastor friend says, ?God is exactly where you want Him to be.? To believers God says, ?Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful? Heb.10:23. Faithful to sustain us, to save us, to redeem us, to forgive us, and to take us home when He is ready. You have confessed believers with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life and He has placed the Holy Spirit within you to empower you, fear nothing, but what the Lord can do. ?Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus? 2 Tim.1:13. In addition, too many other scriptures encourage us to stand firm as a believer because Jesus holds the end in His mighty hand. ?Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown? Rev.3:11
To the unbelievers God says, ?But the fearful (cowardly), unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death? Rev. 21:8. Believers you are born twice and die once, unbelievers you are born once and die twice. I do not say this to offend you because this truth is of God and He says this but I must proclaim it that the heart of the unbeliever would come to repentance, would confess their sins (Rom.10:9-10) to God. The shed blood of Jesus Christ has covered all the past, present and future sin of one who comes to Him humbly to ask for His forgiveness. He is so patient to wait and longsuffering with our iniquity, as an individual and a nation to hear our prayers. I myself was once lost and entangled in worldly habits but He found me and delivered me to His righteousness. The sanctification process has begun in me and will be fulfilled when I go home to heaven, it can be in you as well.
God says, ?You shall fear the LORD your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name? Deut. 10:20. ?holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain? Phil.2:16.
I pray hard in these times of disaster because I know they must come. The Lord is stirring up the nation to repentance and you must look at it with a different mindset. With the mindset, that Jesus loves you and His wrath has not yet come. Jesus Christ is saving people and adding to the kingdom of heaven but Satan is also at work trying to destroy the minds of people. Getting them to reject the truth, reject the Lords servants, and snatch the seed that is planted within a soul. Satan will try to stir up anger in the hearts of unbelievers and believers so they will look at the savior Jesus Christ as the enemy. We must heed the warnings of scripture and prepare ourselves for death so that we may be justified in the Lord to whom all life is. Disasters come quickly and life is but a mist in the wind will we be found ready. Good people, giving people, friendly people, rich people, and whatever else people do not enter into heaven, only those who are truly born again of the holy spirit will enter. ?Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God? John 3:3. We cannot simply say that we are born again but our life must reflect the righteousness of Jesus Christ flowing through us. ?having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 1 Pet.1:23, 24. ?Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again? John 3:7.
?I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan?s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells? Rev.2:13.
Read Revelation 14:6, 7
May God Bless you and give you of His peace, Amen.
