?But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship him. God is Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth? (John 4:23, 24).

Jesus spoke His truth to the Samaritan women while at the well, ?The women said to Him, ?I know that Messiah is coming? (who is called Christ). ?When He comes, He will tell us all things.? Jesus said to her, ?I who speak to you am He? (John 4:25, 26).

What a joy if you or I could be face to face with the Savior Jesus, the Christ. One day we will and we will know all things and we will know Jesus face to face, but the only way to have this promise is to be born again. By praying in spirit and in truth we discover this truth day by day. Grieving not the Holy Spirit (Eph.4:30) that is poured out to all flesh who receives Him, but coming into worship and praising the King in all His might and glory.

We know that when we receive Christ into our life He empowers us with the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. When Jesus died and ascended into heaven He said ?I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever ? the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you? (John 14:16, 17).

Another helper or comforter is given to us, what a wonderful truth. In the Greek ?another? meaning another of the same kind, someone like Jesus Himself, part of the Triune God Head, a helper, in the Greek meaning ?one called who will come along side of you to help you.? Someone who will guide you, convicts you of your sinful ways (John 16:8, 9), encourages you, and makes known to you the things of Jesus and the Father. ?But when the helper (comforter) comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds form the Father, He will testify of Me? (John 15:26). ?However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me (Jesus), for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you? (John 16:13-14).

Pilate said unto him (Jesus), What is truth? The question that Pilate asked Jesus in John chapter 18 verse 38; because Pilate didn?t know what the truth was or how to get it, his truth was based on the thinking that he had power, and he did not realize that the very power he boasted of was the power that was given to him from above. Then Jesus told him ?For this cause was I born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Everyone that is of the truth hears my voice? (John 18:37).

Jesus Christ is Truth. ?And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free? (John 8:32). Jesus says ?I am the way, the truth, and the life? (John 14:6). Paul speaks in 2 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 8 ?For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.? We can serve Jesus Christ and know the truth; we can know what is said of Jesus Christ and know the Holy Bible. We can have a true relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit living in us, speaking to Jesus Christ and the revealing the thoughts Father.

?It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life? (John 6:63). ?That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit? (John 3:6). Born again, baptized not with water but with the Holy Spirit.

There is much more to say about the truth of God and the Holy Spirit that the Holy Scriptures clearly teach, and I could write much more, but know this, that when you are praying with the Holy Spirit in you and when you are praying for God?s wisdom, His knowledge, and His understanding, and asking of Him that you might receive, you are praying in the Spirit and in the Truth.

?Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He? (Deut.32:3, 4).
