to wear a bathing suit. Through my Dressing Up journey, I realized this; women come in different sizes and shapes and none of them have a perfect body because there is no such thing. Everyone has insecurities about their bodies, and you can choose to control them or let them control you. Everyone is a bikini body, allow yourself to wear a fancy swimsuit and really enjoy yourself while thinking about how your body feels in the sun and sand, not how your body looks liberated.
With that in mind, I've made it my mission this summer to find swimwear that makes you feel great and show you off on a body I think you'll recognize. It is vital that women of all shapes and sizes are represented in the media. We are diverse, and when you only see one body type on screen, you might wonder if your body is "normal". Yes, and it's pretty!
Below left is beautiful Chloe. She is 5'9", a size 16, bust 14DD/E, with an hourglass build. Chloe was horrified (horrified?!) when I asked her to take this photo, but we had so much fun trying on swimsuits (and no one in the changing room said anything negative about their bodies – which is Crucial!) And she was eventually persuaded.
In the middle is the charming Rachel (you can follow her on Facebook and read her blog here - I recommend you do that!). Rachel measures 6' tall, a size 18, with an 18DD bust. Rachel is the quintessentially pear-shaped figure and wanted a bathing suit that would accommodate her slender torso, support her bust and flatter her butt - in fact she said "my butt won't eat!". Rachel dances in every outfit she tries on - love the attitude!

That pink haired chick on the right is me. I'm Monique, I'm 33 years old and a mother of two. I'm 5'6" and a size 16 with a 14D/16C bust and my weight is around my belly (apple shape). I've been looking for swimwear that will give me some tummy support since I have a big bag from my c-section scar and I can honestly say my bladder isn't what it used to be! So I want swim trunks that are bigger than dental floss if possible.

Your local Farmers store has some really high fashion this summer! I fell in love with this palm print as soon as I saw it (and so did Rachel and Chloe!) The lycra is thick but unrestricting, and I love that there are so many options to mix and match. Green makes me happy! I also have to give a shout out to the lovely Farmers clerk for putting up with us running around their changing rooms half naked all day at St Lukes. Corpses - you've seen one, you've seen them all!

I have to say - sports gear really sucks! Historically, when you're over a size 14, your options are unattractive, unattractive, and too unfashionable. But, things are changing, and the fashion industry is embracing the fact that women of all shapes and sizes love working out (duh!) and looking cute when we do. So I've rounded up some cute options to make exercising exciting! I don't know about you, but being motivated to wear my workout gear is the biggest challenge - so having beautiful options makes all the difference.
