“There can be no doubt. Of the 15 players who made CBS Sports’ First Second and Third All-America teams at the end of the 2019-20 season Garza is the only returnee to college basketball. The Iowa center has his team in position to be top 10 in college hoops and has the potential to average 24 points and 12 rebounds on one of the best offenses in college basketball. If he is better than last season it’s hard to see how he’s not the best player in America.”
On the other hand the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics both advanced to the Conference Finals. Therefore those are the four teams who have the biggest disadvantage if the NBA does elect to begin the upcoming campaign in December.Over the years teams have typically had four months to recover from the previous season. But with the unusual circumstances tasking place right now teams would have just two months to prepare themselves for the rigors of another season.
I have to admit I was nervous before the debate as Harris continued to make history as the first Black woman and Asian-American on a major presidential ticket. It was similar to the anxiety I’ve experienced rooting for the USA Women’s National Soccer Team during a World Cup or standing on the first tee at a state golf tournament. |
