November 20 - Consider His WayNow therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: "Consider your ways! - Haggai 1:5
With the passing of Correta Scott King, the nation and its leaders take time to consider the work and impact this woman has had on the world. The living presidents spoke about her life and the work we need to carry on her struggle for racial equality. The presidents spoke of the Creator and the Prince of Peace, even though none of them named Him by name. Why were many afraid to invoke the name of Jesus Christ? Why are so many Christians willing to use the name of God but avoid invoking the name of Jesus Christ? What would happen if the nation and its churches considered the life and work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God? They would find someone who is above all others and is very God and the very Creator the people say they follow. What good is there to have racial equality if everyone goes to hell? Without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and without the life changing power of the Holy Spirit all the words of leaders and churches are empty words. As Solomon said, they are clouds without rain.
