Need Jesus? >>> Are you a Christian?

Daily Verse
April 11 - Hear the Son

"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,..." Hebrews 1:1

Who is this Man, Jesus the Christ, whom angels praise and children of God adore? The story goes back before the world was ordained and the stars began their first course. "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son..." The birth of Jesus Christ was just the opening line to the great drama that would enfold in time. The great saga of Redemption and Salvation was to be written on the shore of the Jordan and on the cross of Calvary.

Christ Jesus did not come to start a Holiday or a religion, but a revolution. This revolution was not political or religious, but relational. Jesus came to die for our sins, and open the door of heaven to us. The birth of Jesus began the time when God would dwell among His people, and it continues unbroken, even up to this day. Jesus dwells in the lives of everyone who has placed their hope and trust on Him. He dwells with His people.

Jesus came to suffer and die! That is what the opening line began, the heavenly drama of the suffering and death of our Savior. If we are to celebrate His birth, then let us also celebrate His death. Let us proclaim that He came to die, to be buried and be raised again on the third day. Without the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, any holiday or religion is meaningless and pointless.
