A spirit of unity or unity in the Holy Spirit?
Paul states what the fundamentals of the Christian faith are the in following scriptures:
Hebrews 6:1-2
New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

A dead work is defined in the Bible as a work done to increase one's justification before God. A work done in faith is one done because a person is justified before God by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8-10. The spirit of unity will try to make both correct when only one can be.

Included in righteous works of faith are living the principles of Matthew 5, 6 and 7.
There is no agreement on the principles of nonresistance vs just wars, swearing of oaths, divorce/remarriage, repetitive prayer, debt for material goods, the sin of worry, and more. There is not even agreement if the sermon on the mount is expected behavior for Christians. The spirit of unity seeks to make all views on these principles correct. The Holy Spirit's job is to correctly apply all these principles in the lives of believers.

Faith toward God is perhaps the most significant principle in Christianity Hebrews 11:6. A person gets NOTHING from God without faith. Faith is defined in Hebrews 11:1 and its application is explained in Mark 11:23-24 with examples in Hebrews 11 and Romans 10:9-10. In short believing is seeing not  the opposite.  The spirit of unity says everything is faith and there is no such thing as unbelief. If one has the temerity  to call anything unbelief they are accused of being unloving. The spirit of unity separates faith toward God, love, and obedience which the Bible NEVER does.

There is no agreement on what the word save-sozo means so Christians are not sure what they can or should believe God for. The Bible clearly spells out what save means, gives examples, and states what is provided by Christ's atonement. The Holy Spirit's job is to make all that Christ provided a reality in the lives of all Christians. The spirit of unity tries to stop this.

"Baptisms" There is no agreement on the issue of apostolic water baptism. The spirit of unity promotes acceptance of all methods.

The Acts 2:4 experience with the initial evidence of speaking in new tongues, baptism in the Holy Spirit, is rejected or perverted by many Christians which effectively puts them under the direction of man's doctrines and removes the Holy Spirit's direction. All the spiritual gifts the Bible states that are necessary for the local assembly to function are thus inoperative. The spirit of unity accepts all views of the Spirit's role, all claims of when and how the Holy Spirit is received and functions.

The laying on of hands is explained in the Bible as a means to impart spiritual gifts (example:infilling of the Holy Spirit to believers), heal (Mark 16:17-1Cool, bless believers, and confirm  ministries. The spirit of unity perverts or denies all or parts of this important doctrine for the body of Christ.

All  beliefs about the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgement are accepted by the spirit of unity including the beliefs of some of the cults.

The spirit of unity is another name for the antichrist spirit of compromise. God will bless what He did not start, use what He will not inhabit. What He won't inhabit will be destroyed which includes religion based on the spirit of unity.
