By Faith We Believe The Lord Created The Worlds: "By faith we understand that worlds were framed by the Word of God." Heb 11:3
"Every Scripture is God Breathed..." 2 Tim 3:16
Faith Comes By His Word: "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Rom 10:17
The Roman Centurion...said...but, speak the Word, only, and my servant shall be healed." Mt 8:8
Jesus responded, "Verily I say onto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." Mt 8:10
His Word Empowers Us To Exercise Faith: Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, "Stretch forth thy hand." Lu 6:10. He told the blind man to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. John 9:7. Peter and John said to the lame man, "Rise and walk." Acts 3:6 When His Word is spoken, it gives us the power to respond in faith.
"Abraham...being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform." Rom 4:21. "Know ye therefore, that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham." Ga 3:7
Faith Is Unseen:"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Heb 11:1
Jesus said to Thomas, "...blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." John 20:29
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Co 5:7.
We Are Saved By Grace Through Faith: "By whom also we have access by faith into His grace..." Rom 5:2
"For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." Ga 3:26
We Purify Our Hearts By Faith: Acts 15:9
We Inherit The Promises By Faith: "But imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Heb 6:12
"And ALL things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive." Mt 21:22
By Faith We Partake of The Divine Nature: "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Pet 1:4
We Acquire Wisdom By Faith: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." Ja 1:5-8
By Faith We Work The Works of Christ: Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe;in My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." Mk 16:17,18
"That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." Mt 8:17
Without Faith We Cannot Please Him: "But without faith it is impossiible to please Him..." Heb 11:6
Without Faith We Cannot Do His Works: "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart and said, "Why could not we cast him (a demon) out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief:for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove: and NOTHING shall be impossible unto you." Mt 17:19,20
"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." 1 Co 2:5
Disobedience is Linked With Unbelief: When Moses disobeyed the Lord and struck the rock, God charged him with unbelief. Num 20:12. When the children of Israel disobeyed the Lord, they were not able to enter The Promised Land, because of unbelief. Heb 3:19. Jesus did not do many works in Nazareth, because of their unbelief. Mt 13:58. Unbelief comes out of an evil heart. Heb 3:12
"...he that believeth not God, hath made Him a liar..." 1 John 5:10
Obedience Is Linked With Faith:Rom 16:26 refers to "the obedience of faith."
"By faith Abraham...obeyed." Heb 11:8. "Was not Abraham our father, justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Ja 2:21
Faith Is A Fight: "Fight the good fight of faith..." 1 Tim 6:12
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4,5
"By faith Abel...By faith Enoch...By faith Noah...By faith Abraham...By faith Isaac...By faith Jacob...By faith Joseph...By faith Moses...Through faith Sara...By faith Rahab...By faith they passed through the Red Sea...By faith the walls of Jericho fell down...Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions...quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (of whom the world was not worthy) they wandered in deserts, in mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And these all having obtained a good report through faith..." Heb 11
My dearest brethren, as time draws to an end, we will need this faith - not faith in a system of religion, but, faith in His "God breathed" Word, alone. I, recently, heard a theologian say, that, the Greek word for obedience is defined as "hyper-hearing." Do you hear, believe, cling to and obey His every Word?
"Looking unto Jesus, The Author and The Finisher of our faith..."Heb 12:2
"And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called THE WORD OF GOD." Rev 19:13. |
